Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 Tablet Review & Specs

Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 is a not so powerful tablet, packed with a pretty big 8″ multi-touch screen, a powerful 1.5 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. Let’s take a closer look at what this tablet can give us.

Verizon sells the Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 with a fast 1500 MHz Quad-Core processor with 1 GB of RAM. This tablet has a 16 GB quite large internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, allowing the user to install a couple hundred applications and games without running out of space.

This device is quite a compact device, taking into consideration it features a 8 inches display and it’s only 8.1″ long. The Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 is very slim and good-looking, being just 0.35″ thick. Apparently Verizon forgot about optimizing the weight in this 12.64 ounces tablet.

The Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. The camera also features a few interesting characteristics: fast burst mode, geo tagging and HDR mode.

The Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 is equipped with a good 1280 x 800 8-inches display, which makes everything look quite colorful and brightful. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

The Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 provides wi-fi connectivity (but it can’t be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot) or LTE (4G) high performance data connection. The Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 uses a Micro SIM card to use GSM services.

This tablet comes with a 5000 mAh great Li-Polymer non-removable battery, enough to provide the Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 8 with an incredible battery life. An issue to take into account is that this tablet’s battery is not replaceable so you can’t change it when it begins to get older, while with such a great capacity you will probably replace this tablet before it becomes an issue.

This tablet also includes some interesting features like Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your tablet close to another NFC device or tag), and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

If you buy this tablet you will also receive Important Consumer Information Brochure, Wall/USB Charger, Radio Frequency Brochure, Product Safety & Warranty Brochure and Quick Start Guide.
