Best All In One PC (2022): Which AiO PC Is Right For You?

All-in-one PCs are great alternatives to desktop PCs if you want a nice and clean setup without a PC tower on your desk or on the floor. With an AIO PC, all the components are packed inside the monitor for a cleaner look and less hassle with cables. Of course, there are downsides as well, such as the lack of upgradability. But if you are perfectly fine with that, then an AIO PC might be perfect for you. Below, we list the best all-in-one PCs that you can buy right now.

HP Envy 34 All-in-One

Best big screen All-in-One PC

With its 34-inch ultrawide monitor, the HP Envy 34 All-in-One will boost your productivity.

The HP Envy 34 All-in-One is our pick as the best AIO PC. It’s designed for power users that need all the screen real estate that they can get. With its 34-inch display, you can open multiple windows to boost productivity, Excel files with numerous columns are easier to view, and watching movies is more immersive than standard 16:9 displays.

The display is a 34-inch IPS panel with a 5120 x 2160 resolution, so you can think of it as a 4K display with extra screen real estate on both sides. It’s already calibrated out of the box and it supports 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, so artists and designers will love it. It’s not the most ergonomic, though, since it only offers height and tilt adjustments.

You can get the HP Envy 34 All-in-One in various configurations, up to an Intel Core i9-11900 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. It also comes in RAM configurations of up to 128GB and storage of up to 2TB NVMe. If you decide to go with a more entry-level RAM and storage setup, you can upgrade them later on since HP gives you access to the RAM and SSD slots.

As for ports and accessories, the HP Envy 34 All-in-One comes with two USB 4 ports, a card reader, a USB-C port and a magnetic 16MP webcam. The base of the monitor has a Qi wireless charger built-in.

iMac 24-Inch (2021)

Best Apple AIO PC

Powered by Apple’s M1 SoC, the 2021 24-inch iMac is the brand’s best performing AIO to date.

Apple’s latest iMac is a 24-inch all-in-one with the company’s own M1 SoC (system on chip). The result is an ultra-thin AIO PC that looks elegant and minimalist, yet very stylish. There are five color options available—green, silver, orange, purple and yellow. That said, looks is not the only thing improved with this latest iMac. Apple’s M1 chip delivers excellent performance with its 8-core CPU and up to 8-core GPU.

The display is stunning as well. Although a bit small at just 24 inches, it has a resolution of 4480 x 2520 pixels, so it displays incredibly sharp and detailed images with accurate color reproduction. It supports 100% of the sRGB range and 90% of the AdobeRGB range. It’s great for artists, designers and content creators. However, the 24-inch can be an issue if you need more screen real estate.

You can configure the iMac 2021 to up to 8GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage and 8-core GPU. Included with the iMac 2021 are Apple’s Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse. If you are locked into Apple’s ecosystem, the iMac 2021 is a good investment if you need or want an all-in-one computer.

  • Clean design
  • Includes Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard
  • Color options for personalization
  • Beautiful screen

  • 24 inches might be too small
  • Lack of ports
  • Limited configurations

Microsoft Surface Studio 2

Best all-in-one PC for artists

best all in one pc microsoft sur
The Microsoft Surface Studio 2’s PixelSense display with the zero-gravity hinge is useful for artists and content creators.

If you are a designer or artist by trade, Microsoft’s Surface Studio 2 is designed specifically for you. The standout features here are the excellent and beautiful 28-inch touch-enabled PixelSense display and the zero gravity hinge that allows the display to lay flat for easier drawing. The display has a resolution of 4500 x 3000 pixels, and since it is “only” 28 inches, the level of detail that it can output is exceptional. Color reproduction is accurate as well.

Microsoft’s Surface Pen is included with the Microsoft Surface Studio 2, but you’ll have to purchase the Surface Dial separately if you need it.

The design and functionality of the Microsoft Surface Studio 2 are top-notch and unrivalled. However, the system was released back in 2018, so its hardware is older, and since you can’t upgrade the components manually, you are stuck with them. The hardware inside the Surface Studio 2 are still capable, but they are lacking when compared to newly released ones. Hopefully, there’s a Surface Studio 3 planned in the future.

  • Beautiful display
  • Surface Pen included
  • Zero-gravity hinge is highly functional and very useful for artists
  • Minimalist design

  • Very expensive
  • Older hardware
  • Limited configurations

The display is a 23.8 IPS panel touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. There’s a good number of available ports that include USB-C, multiple USB-A, SD card reader, 3.5mm jack and an ethernet port.

The HP Pavilion AiO will not give you extreme performance that’s available on other high-end AiOs. What you’ll get with it is a more than adequate PC with very good performance for the price.

  • Good performance for the price

  • Display is decent only

The cheapest model, which comes with an AMD Athlon Silver 3050U processor has enough power for light tasks such as browsing, content consumption, writing and more. It comes with 4GB of RAM, 1TB HDD storage, and the display is a 21.5-inch touchscreen full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS panel.
