Design

The XTERRA TR200 has a larger screen and better running deck cushioning than the TR150.

The XTERRA TR150 (left) and TR200 (right) have a similar design.

At first glance, you’ll notice that the two treadmills are similar, because they are. They have the same physical dimensions and build quality. Both of them have a durable frame made of steel tubing and some ABS plastic. The plastic parts are the side rail and motor covers, as well as the console dashboard. Everything else is made of steel. In terms of durability, these two are excellent for entry-level models.

They both measure 63.4 x 28.75 x 51.4 inches and they weigh almost the same (97lbs vs 99lbs). Both are compact, and due to their folding design, they are easy to store after your workout. To move them around, there are two transportation wheels at the front. They can support users up to 250lbs.

Both treadmills have a running surface of 16 x 50 inches and they are equipped with a 1-ply non-slip, heavy-duty rubber belt. The running decks have a thickness of 15mm and they feature XTERRA’s XTRASoft cushioning system. The cushioning on the XTERRA TR200 treadmill is more comfortable and it isn’t as loud as the one on the TR150. They both have three incline settings that you can adjust manually.

Functionally, the two treadmills’ consoles are similar, but they have a different layout. The LCD screen on the TR150 is smaller, measuring 5.1 x 1.3 inches and it doesn’t have a backlight. On the other hand, the TR200 sports a larger 4.5 x 2.6 inch LCD and it is backlit so it is easier to read.

Features

When it comes to features, the XTERRA TR150 and TR200 are similar.

The XTERRA TR150 (left) has a 5-inch LCD while the XTERRA TR200 (right) has a blue backlit 5.2-inch screen.

The XTERRA TR150 and TR200 offer the same set of features. Both of them have a speed range of 0.5 – 10mph that you can adjust using their console dashboards. They also have the same 3 levels of incline that you can adjust manually for a more challenging workout.

As previously stated, their screens differ in size, but ultimately, they give out the same information. Their screens show the time, distance, calories burned, speed and pulse. However, since these two aren’t telemetric, you’ll need to be in contact with their pulse sensors on the handlebars in order to get a reading. Both treadmills come with 12 preset workout programs and one manual.

Convenience features include an accessory tray for you to place your phone or tablet and cup holders for your beverage. It’s worth mentioning that if you do place your phone or tablet on the accessory tray, the screen will be blocked.
