The Tineco Floor One S5 and S3 have the same suction strength.
When it comes to suction power, both the Tineco Floor One S5 and S3 will have your floors clean in a jiffy. They each have a maximum power of 220 watts so they won’t have a problem getting rid of stubborn dirt. However, do note that there’s another version of the S5 called the S5 Combo and it’s slightly weaker than the two other models.
But despite having less suction power, what’s great about the S5 Combo is that it actually comes with a portable vacuum inside the main body for extra versatility. So if you have dusty nooks and crannies that are hard to reach, you can whip out the smaller vacuum for easier access.
The Tineco One Floor S5’s brush is better at edge cleaning than the S3.
The brushes on the Tineco Floor One S5 and S3 are almost exactly the same. They’re compatible with all types of floors, whether it be laminate, tiles, or hardwood. They can clean up both dry and wet messes too and have a large surface area so that you can cover your entire house very quickly. Do note, however, that both models aren’t compatible with carpets but then again, most floor cleaners aren’t. What’s great about their brushes is that they’re self-cleaning, saving you the hassle of having to wash them.
As mentioned, their brushes are very similar but they’re not quite identical. While the one on the S3 is facing straight ahead, the S5’s brush head is actually tilted off to the side to allow for much better edge cleaning. So if dust and dirt tend to collect on the edges of your home, you might find it easier to deep clean with the S5.
The Tineco Floor One S5 has bigger water tanks than the S3.
The Tineco Floor One S3, S5, and S5 Combo are all equipped with a two-tank system to make sure that only clean water is being used for your floors. One tank holds the fresh water and cleaning solution while all the dirty water that the vacuum sucks up is stored in the other tank. Both tanks are removable so it should be easy to refill the clean water tank as well as empty out the dirty water tank.
While they have those things in common, these three models are very different when it comes to their tank sizes. The S5 has the biggest ones, its clean water tank measuring in at 0.8L while its dirty water tank has a capacity of 0.7L. The S3 comes in at second place, equipped with a 0.6L clean water tank and a 0.5L dirty water tank. As for the S5 Combo, its clean and dirty water tanks are 0.5L and 0.45L respectively.
While their tanks vary in size, they’re all actually pretty big and should be able to hold enough water to clean your entire home with. You may need to refill the S5 Combo once but that should be it.
The Tineco Floor One S3 and S5 have the same battery life.
The most annoying thing about vacuuming is getting tangled up in the cord as you maneuver your way around. Fortunately, the Tineco Floor One S3, S5, and S5 Combo are all cordless floor cleaners. Powered by internal batteries, all three models boast of pretty good battery life and should be able to clean your entire house without needing a recharge. Both the S3 and S5 are equipped with a 4,000mAh battery that’s able to last up to 35 minutes on a single charge.
The S5 Combo’s battery, on the other hand, has a smaller capacity of 2,500mAh and can only last up to 20 minutes at a time. That said, this also applies to the smaller portable vacuum inside so you actually get a total of 40 minutes. This is definitely more than enough to cover all areas of your house, especially since Tineco floor cleaners are good at optimizing battery life.
The Tineco Floor One S5 wins against the S3 for having bigger tanks and better edge cleaning.
If you’re a stickler for cleanliness and every corner in your home has to be spotless, the Tineco Floor One S5 will be right up your alley. It’s a bit more expensive than its predecessor but the higher price tag is worth it considering that it has better edge cleaning and bigger water tanks. Not to mention it’s available in another version called the S5 Combo which provides extra versatility. But that doesn’t mean that the Tineco Foor One S3 isn’t a good option. It has very similar features which you can enjoy at a lower cost.
