Design
While both are modern-looking cordless vacuums, the Tineco S11 looks even more futuristic than the A11 Hero thanks to an LED display.

Tineco’s A11 Hero and Pure One S11 are cordless sticks vacuums that sport cool colors and a sleek form. Like other vacuums of this type, you get the main body, wand, and cleaning base. Despite all these components, both models are lightweight appliances.
Now, the A11 and S11’s main body are more or less the same. It’s where you’ll find most of the operating features like switches and release buttons. The dustbin, battery pack, and ergonomic handles also add to the body’s heft. However, the Pure One S11 is equipped with an LED display that shares status and cleaning controls. On the A11 Hero, you only get indicator lights.
Both vacuums come with a slim wand that connects the body to the cleaning base. Unlike the Tineco PWRHERO 11, however, the tube isn’t height adjustable. Nonetheless, you can detach the wand and connect the vacuum body directly to a cleaning attachment in handheld mode.
The A11 Hero is available in a light blue and silver finish. Meanwhile, the Pure One S11 comes in a more subdued black and white finish.
Cleaning and Power
Both the Tineco A11 and S11 vacuums feature powerful suction and a four-stage HEPA filtration system.

At the heart of Tineco’s cordless vacuum cleaners is a cyclone system that not only sucks dust and debris but helps separate larger particles, too. However, it’s only the first step in a four-stage filtration system found on both the A11 Hero and Pure One S11.
After the cyclonic motion, a mesh filter blocks out other particles like dust and hair. Next, a pre-filter helps trap finer dust and particles. Finally, to ensure cleaning efficiency, a HEPA filter captures dust up to 0.3 microns while also expelling fresh air.
Behind this multi-stage cleaning system are powerful motors. Both the Tineco A11 and S11 are equipped with a 450W brushless motor. Tineco says it’s five times more powerful than traditional DC motors. Despite having the same specs, the A11’s maximum suction power tops at 120W. The S11, on the other hand, goes up to 130W.

Performance and Run Time
Tineco’s Pure One S11 boasts smart features that help it perform better than the Tineco A11 Hero.

When it comes to performance, the Tineco Pure One S11 has a few tricks up its sleeve. As a smart vacuum cleaner, the S11 boasts the iLoop smart sensor. It’s basically a dirt sensor that can detect hidden debris, as well as the type, and adjust suction power accordingly.
Meanwhile, a smart app integration allows users to monitor their cleaning performance with the S11. Aside from cleaning reports, users can also access maintenance reminders and tech support.
But the Tineco A11 Hero is no pushover. While it misses out on smart features, it fares just as well as the Pure One S11 in terms of maneuverability. Both cordless vacs feature swivel steering and are slim enough to fit underneath furniture. Their optimized heights and ergonomic grips make it easy to navigate rooms and room corners, too.
The Tineco A11 and S11 have a runtime of up to 40 minutes. However, you’re likely to get more minutes from the S11, which uses a battery management system to optimize battery life. The S11 also comes with a dual charging dock as its default, allowing you to top up two batteries at the same time.
Models and Accessories
Differences in their accessories lineup distinguish between the A11 Hero and Pure One S11 models.

Depending on your needs, you can get the Tineco A11 Hero and Pure One S11 in different models. The A11 lineup, for instance, includes the Tineco A11 Hero Ex and the A11 Tango. The former adds an extra battery pack, while the Tango features an LED soft-roller power brush.
Meanwhile, the Pure One S11 includes the S11 Tango and S11 Spartan variants. With the Tango, you get an LED soft-roller power brush as an extra accessory. If you opt for the Spartan, you’re getting fewer cleaning attachments.
Out of the box, you’ll get comparable accessories for the A11 Hero and Pure One S11. Depending on where you purchase the A11 Hero, you might get an additional microfiber pre-filter, too. Keep in mind that the A11 Hero and Pure One S11’s filters need not be removed for washing. The accompanying cleaning tool is enough to brush their filters clean.
Verdict
While the Tineco Pure One S11 boasts smart features, the Tineco A11 Hero still gives you more bang for your buck.
There are several considerations when choosing a cordless vacuum cleaner. Arguably the three most important would be price, performance, and power. On the last two factors, the Tineco Pure One S11 has the edge. With its smart features, it’s capable of detecting unseen particles and optimizing battery life through a self-adjusting suction. If you have the money, you can splurge on this cordless vac.
However, the Tineco A11 Hero is a more practical purchase. Yes, it does miss out on an LED display, dirt sensor, and self-adjusting suction. Still, the vacuum cleaner delivers more or less the same cleaning power and performance as the S11. In reality, you can live without a smart app integration, too. And given its price, the Tineco A11 Hero offers more bang for your buck.
