Nvidia SHIELD is a mid-end tablet, which counts with a good size 8 inches display, a fast Quad-Core processor speeding at 2200 MHz, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. We will get a better understanding of this tablet's wonders when we get into more details.

Nvidia decided to equip this tablet using a NVIDIA Tegra K1 system chip, which holds a fast 2.2 GHz Quad-Core processor with a great 2 GB of RAM. An excellent feature of the Nvidia SHIELD is its inmense 32 GB internal memory and an external SD slot, which allows you to install lots of apps, games, pictures and videos without thinking about running out of space.

This time, it seems like Nvidia decided not to care so much about the weight in this 13.76 ounces tablet. This tablet is a very compact device, taking into account that it features a 8 inches display and it has just 8.8 inches long and 5 inches wide. This tablet is thin, with a thickness of just 0.36 inches.

The Nvidia SHIELD has a interesting 1920 x 1200 8-inches screen, which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the screen.

This device features Wi-Fi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem), 4G (LTE) high performance internet connection or the fastest 3G data connection, over HSPA and EDGE technologies. The Nvidia SHIELD uses a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers.

This tablet features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 5 megapixels front camera. Additionally, this device's camera also includes HDR mode and auto-focus.

The Nvidia SHIELD also features some interesting features like Bluetooth (4.0), GPS Localization and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your tablet close to another NFC device or tag), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Nvidia is offering the Nvidia SHIELD for 239 dollars, which is rather expensive for this type of tablet.
