Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a pretty good tablet launched back in 2011, equipped with a fast 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU, a quite big 8.2-inches display, and 2 cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

Though this tablet is just 8.5" long, it's able to fit a a 8.2 inches screen. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is extremely thin and stilized, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a bit heavy comparing to other tablets , weighting 13.62 ounces.

Motorola designed this tablet with a interesting 8.2" display, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, giving this device a nice graphic quality. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

Motorola decided to design the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 using a TI OMAP 4430 system chip, which holds a good 1200 megahertz Dual-Core CPU with 1 GB RAM. Collaborating with graphic calculations, it also uses a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX540 GPU. A nice feature of the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is its big 16 GB internal memory and though it doesn't include an external SD slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred games and applications, but it might not be enough if you are fan of the largest games currently available.

This tablet provides wifi connection (and it can share it with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high speed connectivity or 3G connectivity, over EV-DO A technologies. This tablet doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM connections and it can connect to CDMA carriers.

This tablet features two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera. It is also able to capture videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 fps. The camera also includes flash and auto-focus.

This device uses a high capacity 3960 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that provides the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 an impressive battery life. An issue to evaluate is that the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's battery isn't removable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins to last shorter, even though with such a big battery you will probably buy a new tablet before it happens.

This device also features many interesting features like Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth tablets, computers and accessories), GPS Localization, Infrared Blaster and NFC (Near Field Communication), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is probably a little bit overvalued considering it is priced 270 dollars, while many similar devices are being sold for less than that. No matter if you will use it as a work tablet or will use it as a social tablet, you will definitely love this tablet.
