Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1

Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is a mid-end tablet released some years ago, in 2011, having a good Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1.2 gigahertz, an enormous 10.1-inches screen, a 5 MP back camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's only the introduction of a detailed review.

This device is powered by a powerful Dual-Core CPU speeding at 1200 MHz, bundled in a TI OMAP 4430 system chip and 1 GB RAM. To help with graphic intensive tasks, it also has a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit ticking at 200 megahertz. A great point of this device is the 64 GB astonishing internal memory and while it doesn't have a slot for an SD memory card, it is still enough to install lots of applications, games, photos and videos without even thinking about how much storage is left.

Being just 0.35" thick, this tablet is very slim and good-looking. Even though the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is just 10" long and 6.83" wide, it manages to pack a 10.1 inches display. Motorola didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 21.27 ounces tablet.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 has an average 800 x 1280 10.1-inches display, providing this tablet with a nice graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera. Its back side camera has an aperture of f/2.8 so it struggles to take clear pictures in low lighting situations. It can also film videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 fps. This tablet also features auto-focus and flash.

This tablet offers wi-fi connectivity (which it can share with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE fast internet connection or 3G connectivity, supported by EV-DO A technologies. This device doesn't have a SIM card, because it's not a GSM enabled tablet and it works in CDMA carriers.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 also comes with some interesting features like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS (Global Positioning System) and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This tablet counts with a 7000 mAh big Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 with an incredible battery duration. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery is non-removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to lose capacity, though with such a big battery you will probably buy a new tablet before that becomes an issue.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is rather cheap considering it just costs $ 175, and other similar tablets cost some extra money. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is a great option for you no matter if you are looking for a work tablet, want it for gaming or need a tablet majorly for internet broswing and social networks.
