Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1

Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is a mid-end Android tablet released back in 2011, which counts with a 10.1-inches multi-touch display, a Dual-Core processor clocking at 1200 MHz, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. Let's take a better sight of what this tablet offers to us.

Motorola decided to power this tablet with a quite powerful Dual-Core CPU clocking at 1200 megahertz, packed into the TI OMAP 4430 chip and 1 GB RAM memory. To handle graphic rendering, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 also uses a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit running at 200 MHz. This tablet counts with a 32 GB amazing internal memory and though it doesn't include an SD extension slot, it is still enough to install tons of apps, games, pictures and videos without thinking about filling the tablet.

Whereas this tablet is only 10 inches long, it manages to contain a 10.1" display. This tablet is thin and stilized, being just 0.35" thick. This tablet feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 21.13 ounces.

Motorola packed the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 with a good 10.1 inches display, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, making everything look quite good. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This tablet counts with Wi-Fi connection (and it can provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast data connection or 3G internet connection, using EV-DO A technologies. This tablet doesn't have a sim card, because it isn't a GSM device and it can work with CDMA networks.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 features two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera. Its back-facing camera lens has a maximum 2.8 aperture so it has serious difficulties taking nice photos in low-light situations. It also shoots videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. This device also counts with flash and auto-focus.

This tablet also features some interesting features like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS (Global Positioning System) and NFC (Near Field Communication), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 packs a 7000 mAh long lasting Li-Ion non-removable battery, enough to provide the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 with an impressive battery duration. An issue to take into consideration is that the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1's battery is not replaceable so you can't change it when it begins to have trouble holding its charge, although with its 7000 mAh you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes an issue.

Motorola offers this tablet for about 175 dollars, similar to other same level tablets. No matter whether you want a social tablet, are looking for a device for gaming or need a tablet for work, you will probably love this tablet.
