HTC Jetstream Review

Score: 6.69/10
HTC Jetstream Grey 16GB 4G LTE AT&T

HTC Jetstream is a good Android tablet released many years ago, featuring an enormous 10.1 inches multi-touch display, a great performance 1500 megahertz Dual-Core processing unit, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera.

HTC ships this tablet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060 system chip, backed up by a powerful Dual-Core processor clocking at 1500 MHz and 1 GB RAM memory. Graphic calculations generally uses a lot of CPU cycles, so it uses an Adreno 220 GPU working at 266 megahertz to take some work out of the CPU. This tablet has a 32 GB big internal storage and an external SD slot, enough to store tons of applications, games, photos and videos without worrying about running out of space at all.

The HTC Jetstream is a little bit thick compared to nowadays tablets, with its 0.51" thickness. This tablet just has 9.87" long and 7 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 10.1 inches screen. This device feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 25 ounces. HTC is offering this device in black color.

The HTC Jetstream is equipped with a good 10.1-inches display with a 768 x 1280 resolution, making everything look quite nice. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The HTC Jetstream features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera. This device also captures 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also includes auto-focus and flash.

The HTC Jetstream counts with a big capacity 7300 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an extremely long battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that the HTC Jetstream's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts losing capacity, even though with so much capacity you will probably discard this tablet before it becomes an issue.

This device counts with wi-fi capability (but it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high speed connectivity or the fastest 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a SIM card for GSM networks.

This tablet also includes some interesting features like Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth devices, computers and accessories), GPS and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your tablet close to another NFC device or tag), and some sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.

This tablet is a nice device and it costs 239 dollars, which is quite close to other similar devices. This tablet is definitely the right one for you it doesn't matter whether you are looking for a gamer tablet, will use it as a social tablet or want a device for work.
