Acer Iconia A1 is a decently made tablet, equipped with a 1200 MHz Quad-Core processing unit, a good size 7.9" display, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera.

This device is offerred in 2 different colors, black and white. This tablet is a very compact tablet, taking into consideration it presents a 7.9" display and it has just 8.22" long. The Acer Iconia A1 is slim and practical, while it's not as slim as many other tablets you can find, with a thickness of 0.44 inches. It appears that Acer decided not to care much about the weight in this 14.39 ounces device.

This device is powered by a MediaTek MT8125 system chip, holding a powerful 1200 MHz Quad-Core CPU with 1 GB RAM. To collaborate with graphic rendering, it also uses a PowerVR SGX544 graphics processing unit clocking at 384 megahertz. A nice advantage of the Acer Iconia A1 is the 8 GB quite large internal memory and an SD extension slot, allowing you to install a couple hundred apps without any trouble.

This tablet is equipped with an average 7.9 inches display with a 768 x 1024 resolution, which makes everything look quite vivid. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This device doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks.

The Acer Iconia A1 has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. It is also able to capture Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. In addition, the camera includes auto-focus and geo tagging.

This device also comes with some interesting features like Bluetooth (provides communication with other tablets, computers and accessories), GPS and Near Field Communication (NFC), and some sensors likeAccelerometer and Gyroscope.

This tablet uses a 4960 mAh great Li-Ion non-removable battery that can keep this tablet running for several hours without charging it at all. An issue to take into account is that this device's battery is non-removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to lose its charge, though with such a big battery you will probably discard this device before it becomes a real problem.

The Acer Iconia A1 is priced around $ 210, not a very good offer for comparing with other similar devices.
