Comparisson review

The Google Nexus 9 has a general score of 7.42, which is a bit better than the Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s 7.36 score. Both of these devices have the same Android 5.0 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any difference in that aspect. Google Nexus 9's design is newer and just a bit thinner than the Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s, but it's extremely heavier.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a display that's very similar to the Google Nexus 9 one, because although the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a lot smaller display and a little bit lower resolution of 1200 x 1920px, it also counts with a quite higher pixels density. Google Nexus 9 has just a bit better performance than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has a lower number of cores and doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Google Nexus 9 also counts with a 64-bits processor.

Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s memory for applications and games is just as good as Google Nexus 9's one, both have the same 32 GB internal storage. Google Nexus 9 counts with a bit better battery life than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 6700mAh battery size instead of 3950mAh. The Google Nexus 9 captures much clearer photos and videos than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the same diafragm aperture and the same video frame rates, the Google Nexus 9 also has a way higher 8 megapixels resolution camera.

Although Google Nexus 9 is a better device, it costs more than the Google Nexus 7 (2013), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 7 (2013). If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Google Nexus 7 (2013), letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
