Design
There are only minor differences between the Skullcandy Crusher and Crusher Evo aesthetically.

When it comes to build quality, both the Skullycandy Crusher and Crusher Evo do not disappoint. While they are made with mostly plastic, they have a steel frame that keeps everything together. Both headphones will survive accidental drops with no issues.
Looks-wise, the Skullcandy Crusher has a flatter earcup design than the Crusher Evo. There are also minor differences in their headbands, specifically, in the hinges. The Crusher Evo’s hinges are placed lower while the Skullcandy Crusher’s hinges are placed higher on the headband. Aside from those, they are similar. The Skullcandy Crusher is available in four colors—black, white, olive and deep red, while the Skullcandy Crusher Evo is available in either true black or chill grey.

Comfort-wise, they come with sufficient padding on the earcups and headband. However, the earcups are a bit on the small side, so people with larger ears might not find these headphones to be very comfortable. The clamping force is just right with both headphones and they don’t feel too tight. Both headphones are also lightweight, with the Crusher weighing only 275g and the Crusher Evo 312g.
On the left earcup of both headphones are their Crusher Bass sliders and a USB port (micro USB for Crusher and USB-C for Evo). A call/music button as well as an up and down volume button can be found on the backside of the right earcup of both headphones. Both headphones are portable as they have a collapsible design and they both come with travel bags.
Features
The Skullcandy Crusher Evo has a couple of features not present on the Skullcandy Crusher—Tile trackers and Personal Sound.

While both headphones come with the Skullcandy Crusher Bass for haptic bass feedback, only the Crusher Evo has access to the Skullcandy Personal Sound feature. You can personalize your sound via the Skullcandy app on the Crusher Evo to suit your preferences.
Another feature that’s only available on the Crusher Evo is its Tile trackers. With its Tile-finding feature, you can locate your headphones easily by viewing its last known location on your phone, which is convenient.
As mentioned, both headphones come with haptic feedback. You can experience vibrations when playing music or watching movies when the Crusher Bass feature is turned on. You can adjust the intensity of the vibrations using the slider on the left earcup of both headphones. This feature allows you to have a more immersive movie viewing and music listening experience.
Sound Quality
They both have emphasized bass but they don’t sound muddy at all.

One of the biggest selling points of the Crusher headphones is their emphasized bass or low end and they really do have emphasized bass. However, it’s not bad sounding, unlike other headphones with exaggerated bass. The low frequency response of both headphones are tight and they are accurate. Combined with their haptic feedback feature, these headphones are excellent if you are a bass-head or you listen to a lot of hip-hop, EDM or other bass-centric music.
As for the mids, they are a bit recessed but accurate. Vocals and instruments are accurate and sound very good. For the high frequency sounds, they are de-emphasized but they are still detailed and you will hear them clearly.
Both headphones sound good and there’s not much difference in their sound signatures. However, you can adjust the sound profile of the Skullcandy Crusher Evo via the Skullcandy app, so that’s an advantage.
Battery Life
You can fully charge the Skullcandy Crusher faster than the Crusher Evo.

The battery life for both headphones is excellent—reaching up to 40 hours. That said, you can fully charge the Skullcandy Crusher faster than the Crusher Evo. The Skullcandy Crusher has a charging time of 2.5 hours while the Crusher Evo needs around 3 hours to get fully charged.
Both headphones have a quick charge feature of 10 minute charging for 3 hours playback. When it comes to battery performance, the difference is not that great. The Skullcandy Crusher has a micro USB port while the Crusher Evo has a USB-C port.
