Design and Comfort

The TITAN and the OMEGA are very similar, both designed with cold-cure foam mix and premium memory foam pillows.

You can get the TITAN (left) and the OMEGA (right) in different fabric options such as 2.0 PU leather, NAPA leather, and SoftWeave fabric.

Overall, the TITAN and the OMEGA are very similar in design, both offered in the same fabric options. You can get them in Prime 2.0 PU leather which is 4 times more durable than normal PU leather. But if you want to go for the real thing, you can opt for the NAPA leather cover for a more luxurious feel. For those who want to steer clear of leather, however, they’re also offered in SoftWeave fabric, Secretlab’s signature blend of yarn that’s soft, breathable, and long-lasting. As for colors, there are a bunch to choose from, such as Classic, Black, and Ash. Secretlab even adds a bit of fun to the mix by offering special edition designs such as Overwatch, Dark Knight, Game of Thrones, and Dota 2.

What’s great about these gaming chairs is the fact that they’re designed with Secretlab’s cold-cure foam mix. This special type of foam not only offers great support for your posture, but they make for an extra soft and cushy sitting down experience as well. Both the TITAN and the OMEGA also come with lumbar and headrest pillows, all made with state-of-the-art memory foam that will have you feeling like you’re resting on top of a fluffy cloud. These pillows conform to the shape of your body, plus they keep you from overheating with their coating of cooling gel too.

Size

The TITAN is for the bigger gamers out there while the OMEGA is more suitable for those who are smaller.

The TITAN (left) has a taller and wider backrest than the OMEGA (right).

When you’re deciding between the TITAN and the OMEGA, it’s important to consider their sizes as well as yours. The TITAN, with its taller and wider backrest and deeper seat, is much more suited to the bigger gamers out there. Ideally, it’s for those who are 5’9 to 6’7 and weigh less than 290 pounds. When you adjust them, the TITAN is able to go higher than the OMEGA as well, and so it’s better at accommodating those with longer legs. The OMEGA, on the other hand, has a shorter and narrower backrest and shallower seat, making it more appropriate for gamers who are on the smaller end of the spectrum. The recommended height and weight for the OMEGA is 5’3 to 5’11 and below 240 pounds.

How do you choose between the two if your size falls somewhere in the middle? It’s really up to your personal preference. If you want a roomier gaming chair that allows you to move more freely, then the TITAN would be the better choice. If you want to feel like you’re being given a tight but comfortable hug, the OMEGA should be able to provide that snug fit you’re looking for. If you’re conscious of your budget, the OMEGA would be the better choice as well as it will allow you to save a couple more bucks than the TITAN.

Adjustability

The TITAN wins over the OMEGA when it comes to the adjustability of lumbar support.

All you have to do is twist the knob on the side of the TITAN to adjust the resistance of its lumbar support.

Aside from size, another big difference between the TITAN and the OMEGA lies in their lumbar support. The OMEGA employs a lumbar support pillow which you can move up and down depending on your preference. You can also remove it altogether if you’re not comfortable with it. As for the TITAN, it has a built-in adjustable lumbar support feature. It’s pretty easy to configure as all you’d have to do is twist the knob found on the side of the TITAN to adjust how hard or soft you’d like the back of the chair to be. This might prove to be more convenient to some because not only can you adjust the resistance, you can also be sure that things will stay put as you’re gaming.

Lumbar support aside, the TITAN and the OMEGA are pretty much identical when it comes to other adjustability features. They have metal 4D armrests which you can move in practically any direction, allowing you to sit in the position that’s most natural and comfortable to you. They also have a multi-tilt mechanism that lets you lock the chairs in whichever angle you’d like. You can even recline the backrest all the way down so that you can lay flat and rest as if you were on a bed after a grueling game. Secretlab has really thought everything through because they’ve even installed Class 4 hydraulic pistons on both of these chairs. This way, you can adjust them seamlessly and effortlessly for many, many years to come.

Verdict

For maximum comfort, it’s best to follow the height and weight guidelines when choosing between the TITAN and the OMEGA.

There’s no doubt that both the TITAN and the OMEGA, designed with nearly identical features, are comfortable gaming chairs and are a huge step up from your run-of-the-mill desk chair. But in order to experience maximum comfort, it’s best to follow the height and weight guidelines for each of them. The general rule of thumb is if you’re bigger, go for the TITAN but if you’re smaller, go for the OMEGA. Of course, the choice is entirely up to you at the end of the day. Another thing you need to consider is price, the TITAN being the more expensive of the two. But you can justify the heftier price tag with the fact that the TITAN has a built-in adjustable lumbar spine feature which makes it so much more seamless and convenient to use.
