Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro (SGH-I547) Review & Specs

Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro is a mid level phone released many years ago, which features a great performance 1500 MHz Dual-Core processor, a 4 inches multi touch screen, and two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. Let’s take a deeper look at what this phone offers to us.

This phone is much lighter than what one would think about a phone this size. The Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro is a little bit thick for current standards, being as thick as 0.51″.

This cellphone has a interesting 800 x 480 4 inches display, providing this phone with a very nice graphic quality. This display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip, which holds a fast Dual-Core processor clocking at 1500 megahertz and 1 GB RAM. Helping with graphic intensive applications and games, it also has an Adreno 225 graphic processing unit working at 400 megahertz. A good advantage of this cellphone is its big 8 GB internal storage memory and an SD card slot, enough to store hundreds of apps and games without worrying about space.

This cellphone has WiFi capability (which can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high performance data connection or the fastest 3G data connection, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. It can also film videos up to 1920×1080 (Full HD). The camera also counts with flash.

This device also includes some interesting features like Bluetooth (provides communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS Navigation and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone features a medium 1850 mAh Li-Ion battery, and while it may seem small, it’s enough to provide the Rugby Pro with an awesome battery duration. Samsung claims this cellphone has a stand by time of 288 hs and a talk time of 11 hours.

No matter if you want it for work, want a cellphone for playing games or want it mostly for social networks, you will definitely love this device.
