Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160) Review & Specs

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is a little bit outdated phone launched back in the year 2012, which features a medium sized 3.8 inches multi-touch screen, a good Dual-Core CPU running at 800 megahertz, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. But it’s time to get into a bit more detail.

This phone isn’t very light comparing with today standards, with a weight of 4.3 oz. This cellphone is slim and practical, even though it’s not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.41″.

This cellphone includes a good level 800 x 480 3.8-inches screen, which makes all photos and videos look very good. Its screen uses Super PLS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

Samsung equipped the Ace 2 with a fast Dual-Core processor ticking at 800 MHz with 768 MB RAM. This phone has an average 4 GB internal storage, which is fine considering it also has an external SD slot .

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. this phone’s back facing camera lens has a maximum F2.8 aperture so it has serious problems taking sharp pictures in poorly lit environments. This cellphone can also shoot 1280×720 HD videos at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also features some good characteristics: auto-focus, flash, fast burst mode, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.

This phone counts with WiFi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) or 3G fast connectivity, supported by HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 uses a SIM card for GSM connection.

The Ace 2 has a 1500 mAh medium sized Li-Ion removable battery that provides this cellphone a great battery duration. Samsung afirms this phone has a 670 hours stand by time and a 16.3 hours talk time.

This phone also features some interesting features like Bluetooth (3.0), GPS and NFC, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
