Engine and Power

The Honda EU2200i provides DC output and has a higher rated AC output than the Ryobi RYI2200GR.

Powering the Honda EU2200i inverter generator is a more powerful 121cc Honda GXR120 engine compared to the 80cc OHV of the Ryobi RYI2200GR. So while both have the same starting wattage of 2200 W, the Honda inverter has a higher running wattage of 1800 W against the 1700 W of the Ryobi. That extra power can come in handy to turn on a couple of extra light bulbs or appliance, and is a lot more appreciated in camping activities and worksites.

Both of these portable generators have two 120V AC receptacles to plug into. However, the Honda EU2200i includes a 12V DC output for automotive batteries, a useful addition if you plan on bringing it on outdoor excursions.
