Design

Both the Razer Barracuda X gaming headset and Logitech G Pro X are comfortable, but the latter is more durable.

These gaming headsets have a sleek and modern style to them. The Razer Barracuda X looks more like a pair of casual headphones if you remove the detachable boom mic due to its minimalist look. On the other hand, the Logitech G Pro X looks more like a gaming headset, but it doesn’t have the over-the-top design that most gaming headsets have. You can still wear it outside comfortably if you remove the boom mic. The Razer Barracuda X comes in black, mercury and quartz colorways, while the Logitech G Pro X is available only in black.

When it comes to comfort, both are excellent, with the slight advantage going to the Razer Barracuda X. The Razer Barracuda X are sufficiently padded on the ear cups and the headband, and it is lightweight, so it won’t cause discomfort or fatigue. The padding on the ear cups are breathable and it has a relaxed clamping force. Meanwhile, the Logitech G Pro X have thicker padding on both the headband and ear cups. However, it’s heavier and its clamping force is tighter. That said, you can still wear it for long periods without experiencing fatigue.

In the build quality department, the Logitech G Pro X is the winner. It has a steel frame, aluminum forks and some plastic parts. It feels sturdy enough that you can drop it from a considerable height and it would still function without issues. On the other hand, the Razer Barracuda X is made out of mostly plastic. It still feels solid, but it’s not as sturdy as the Logitech G Pro X.

The Razer Barracuda X is compatible with all gaming platforms since it offers both 2.4GHz wireless and wired 3.5mm connectivity. You can use it wirelessly with PlayStation consoles, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android devices, and you can use it wired with Xbox consoles. On the other hand, the wireless-only Logitech G Pro X is compatible only with PC, PlayStation consoles and Nintendo Switch (docked mode only). Clearly, the Razer Barracuda X has the advantage here.

The two gaming headsets deliver excellent sound. They have a neutral sound profile that makes them enjoyable to use when listening to music and watching movies, in addition to gaming. They both have dips in the low-bass, so they won’t produce overly rumbly sound. The Razer Barracuda X has balanced and accurate mids, but the Logitech G Pro X delivers better accuracy in the treble range.

When gaming, the Logitech G Pro X offers a much better experience since it offers virtual surround sound out of the box.
