Samsung Galaxy Nexus CDMA Review

(SCH-i515) Score: 6.92/10
Samsung Galaxy Nexus I515 16GB Verizon CDMA 4G LTE Dual-Core Phone - Black

Samsung Galaxy Nexus CDMA is a good Android phone launched in November 2011, packed with a 4.7 inches display, a Dual-Core processor running at 1200 megahertz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera.

This cellphone isn't very light for a cellphone of this size, weighting 5.29 oz. The Nexus CDMA is a compact device, taking into consideration it has a 4.7" screen and it only has 5.33" long. Being just 0.37 inches thick, this phone is extremely slim and stilized.

Samsung designed this cellphone with a completely amazing 4.7 inches display, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), providing this cellphone with an amazing graphic quality. This display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Nexus CDMA is powered by a fast Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1200 megahertz, included in the TI OMAP4460 system chip and 1 GB of RAM memory. Helping with graphic intensive applications, it also has a 384 megahertz PowerVR SGX540 GPU. A key advantage of this cellphone is its big 32 GB internal memory and whereas it doesn't include a slot for SD memory cards, it it is more than enough to install lots of apps, games, songs, pictures and videos without worrying about how much storage is left.

The Nexus CDMA is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. Its back side camera has a maximum 2.8 aperture so it struggles to take nice pictures in low-light environments. This device also shoots videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps. This device also features a couple of good characteristics like flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus CDMA offers WiFi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a modem), LTE 4G fast internet connection or 3G connection type, using EV-DO A technologies. The Nexus CDMA doesn't have a sim card, because it is not a GSM cellphone and it works with CDMA networks.

This phone also features some interesting features like Bluetooth (for communication with other phones, computers and accessories), GPS (Global Positioning System) and NFC, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This phone counts with a 1850 mAh medium sized Li-Ion removable battery that provides this phone a not very long battery life. Samsung reports a talk time of 12 hours and a stand by time of 150 hours for this device.

This phone is a real bargain considering it costs only $ 95, while other similar cellphones are sold for much more than that. No matter if you will use this phone majorly for social networks, want this cellphone for work or will use it to play games, this phone is probably a great option .
