Design and Comfort

The noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN are opposites when it comes to design but are similar in terms of comfort.

The noblechairs HERO (left) comes in black only but the Secretlab TITAN (right) is offered in many special edition designs.

The noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN are tied when it comes to variety of seat cover materials, both allowing you to choose from three different options depending on what kind of feel and breathability you prefer. The noblechairs HERO is offered in PU leather, vinyl-PU hybrid leather, and real leather while the Secretlab TITAN comes in either PRIME 2.0 PU leather, NAPA leather, or SoftWeave fabric. When it comes to their actual design, however, these two gaming chairs couldn’t be more different.

The noblechairs HERO is meant to be a gaming chair that doubles up as an office chair, explaining its subtle and elegant design. It’s only offered in black but you can choose to change the color of the stitching to red, blue, gold, or white. It still looks very discreet though despite the added color. As for the Secretlab TITAN, it has low-key color schemes as well but unlike the noblechairs HERO, they also have a bunch of out there designs for the gamers who want more personality. Some of the special edition gaming chairs they offer include Game of Thrones, Dark Knight, Overwatch, and Dota 2, all of which are pretty bold in design.

As for comfort, the noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN are again neck and neck. They’re both padded with cold cure foam so they’ll make you feel supported and comfortable at the same time. They’re both equipped with built-in adjustable lumbar support as well, giving your back some extra love so that you don’t end up sore even after hours of intense gaming. They even come with a  memory foam headrest that adapts to your shape so that you feel even more at ease.

Size

The massive noblechairs HERO trumps the Secretlab TITAN in terms of size.

The noblechairs HERO has a wider and taller backrest than the Secretlab TITAN.

The Secretlab TITAN is already quite enormous on its own, meant for the bigger and taller gamers out there. But the noblechairs HERO actually trumps it in terms of size, able to accommodate an even heavier weight load. The Secretlab TITAN can already carry a maximum of 290 lbs but the noblechairs HERO’s limit goes way beyond that at 330 lbs. Also, the Secretlab TITAN’s backrest is already tall and wide enough to fit those who are 5’9 to 6’7 but the noblechairs HERO has an even taller and broader backrest, allowing for more wiggle room. The noblechairs HERO is actually the brand’s biggest gaming chair yet, explaining its impressive measurements.

If you’re on the heavier and taller end of the spectrum, either of these chairs would be a good option for you. It’s all just a matter of how you want your gaming chair to fit you. If you want a tighter fit, the Secretlab TITAN is a tad bit smaller and should give you that snugness you’re looking for. But if you want a roomier gaming experience, then the massive noblechairs HERO is definitely the gaming chair for you. If, however, you belong to the small to average height group, you might want to look at smaller gaming chair options because these two might make you feel like you’re being swallowed whole.

Adjustability

The noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN are on par with each other when it comes to adjustability features.

Both the noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN have dials on the side which allow you to adjust their lumbar support resistance.

Being the top-tier, expensive gaming chairs that they are, it’s expected for them to have advanced adjustability features. Fortunately, both the noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN deliver in this aspect and are able to justify their hefty price tags. The biggest edge they have that not a lot of other gaming chairs do is their integrated adjustable lumbar support, deeming additional pillows unnecessary. Built into the backrests themselves, you can adjust their lumbar support resistance simply by twisting the dials found on their sides. With this technology, you no longer have to deal with the annoyance of pillows sliding off every time you lean forward in your chair.

Another great thing about both gaming chairs is the fact that they have 4D armrests, a feature that all gamers would be able to appreciate. Because you can move the armrests whichever way you want, you can assume different kinds of positions as you game and be comfortable. They both have a tilt and lock mechanism as well which allows you to find the perfect angle and stay safe and secure there. If you’re exhausted after a grueling game and you need to take a nap, both gaming chairs are also able to recline all the way down. Their Class 4 gas lift is another similarity they have, an assurance that you can adjust these gaming chairs seamlessly for many, many years to come.

The noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN have more similarities than they do differences. This is especially true in the adjustability department, both having the exact same features such as built-in lumbar support, 4D armrests, tilt and lock mechanisms, and reclinable backrests. So how do you choose between the two? It all boils down to your size and design preferences.

Both the noblechairs HERO and the Secretlab TITAN are made for the taller and bigger gamers. The noblechairs HERO, however, has a much larger maximum weight capacity, making it the better option if you fall between 290 to 330 lbs. As for design, it would be better to go for the noblechairs HERO if you’re into the minimalist aesthetic and would like your gaming chair to blend right in with the rest of your living space. If you want a gaming chair that’s louder and more eye-catching, however, the Secretlab TITAN has plenty of special edition designs for you to choose from.
