Design & Build

The Nespresso Creatista Uno doesn’t have the colored display screen found in the Creatista and Creatista Plus

Among the three Nespresso Creatista machines, the Uno occupies the smallest space, while the top-tier Creatista Plus is slightly larger than the rest. The Creatista Uno’s water tank can only hold up to 20.3 oz while the rest can hold up to 50 oz of water in their removable tank. In addition, the Uno can only contain up to 6 used capsules whereas the Creatista and Creatista Plus can hold up to 12. This means the Uno requires more frequent emptying than the others.

All three Nespresso machines have the same compact, stylish profile, but you can tell from their finishes which Breville Creatista is on the pricier end. The Creatista Uno is made of plastic with metal accents while the mid-tier Creatista is a combination of stainless steel and high-quality non-metal finishes. Meanwhile, the Creatista Plus has the iconic Breville brushed stainless steel finish reminiscent of the company’s high-end espresso machines. The Plus also carries the most colors among the three.

One of the major differences between the Nespresso Creatista Uno and the other Creatista machines is its lack of display screen at the top. The Creatista and Creatista Plus have replaced most of the buttons found in the Uno with a colored display. This upgrade allows for easier identification of settings.

Coffee Quality

The Nespresso Creatista machines by Breville use the OriginalLine coffee pods and feature a built-in steam wand

Design latte art with the micro-foam milk that the Nespresso Creatista can help you make

All three Creatista machines by Breville use the Nespresso OriginalLine coffee pods, so you’re sure to enjoy high-quality extraction no matter which Nespresso Creatista you get. Where they differ significantly is in their automatic steam wand features. While every Creatista machine comes with a milk frother that will help you achieve micro-foam milk, the more expensive models offer more advanced functionalities.

The entry-level Nespresso Creatista Uno only has three milk temperature and texture levels. Meanwhile, the mid-tier Creatista has 5 milk temperature levels and 4 milk texture settings. Among the three, the Creatista Plus allows the most customization. Unleash the barista in you and choose from 11 milk temperature settings and 8 milk texture settings so you can achieve your definition of flawless milk foam.

Additional Features

The Nespresso Creatista and Creatista Plus heat up faster than the Uno

Nespresso Creatista Plus
It only takes three seconds for the Creatista and Creatista Plus (in photo) to heat up

No more waiting for your cup of coffee, as the Nespresso Creatista machines heat up water fast. The Creatista Uno only takes 25 seconds to heat up while the Creatista and Plus only take three seconds. Even when you need to froth the milk, it still takes significantly less time to make coffee with the Creatista compared to when using low-quality pod-based machines.

It is also worth noting that each machine comes with a stainless steel barista milk jug so you can design your latte art with better control. In addition, all three Nespresso machines by Breville have a self-cleaning steam wand. They release high-pressure water straight to their drip tray, thus you only need to wipe the steam wand clean after every use.

The Nespresso Creatista Plus allows more coffee-making customization, but you’ll get the most bang for your buck with the mid-tier Creatista

Each Nespresso machine has its own set of features that will make users gravitate towards one over the other. The Nespresso Creatista Uno is perfect for those who want a smaller espresso machine and don’t need the extra water tank capacity that the other two offer. If you don’t typically add milk and froth to your coffee, you’ll get the best value with the Uno because it uses the same Nespresso OriginalLine pods as the more expensive Creatista machines.

Latte, cappuccino, and flat white drinkers will benefit from the more advanced milk texture and temperature levels featured in the Nespresso Creatista and Creatista Plus. They also heat up significantly faster than the Uno, which makes them great for those with a busy lifestyle or who often entertain guests at home. The Creatista and the Creatista Plus only differ in their design and milk settings, so it all comes down to your style and milk preference.

📌 What’s the difference between the Nespresso Creatista Uno and Creatista Plus?

The entry-level Nespresso Creatista Uno is more compact, has a smaller water tank capacity, and has fewer customization options than the high-end Creatista Plus. In addition, the Plus has a more elegant stainless steel build.

📌 Does Nespresso Creatista make regular coffee?

The Nespresso Creatista doesn’t brew regular coffee, but it can make Americano, lungo, and ristretto for you in addition to the milk-based coffee drinks.

📌 How often should I descale my Nespresso Creatista machine?

To keep your Nespresso Creatista on tip-top condition, Nespresso recommends descaling every three months or when you have used around 300 capsules, whichever comes first.

📌 Which Nespresso capsule is best for a cappuccino?

We recommend using the ristretto capsules of the Nespresso OriginalLine. The Nespresso Creatista Uno, Creatista, and Creatista Plus feature a built-in frother/steam wand, so making a cup of cappuccino will be a breeze.
