Motorola Droid X Review & Specs

Motorola Droid X is a bit outdated cellphone launched in June 2010, including a medium 4.3-inches capacitive display, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a powerful 1000 megahertz CPU.

Motorola sells this cellphone with a good processor running at 1000 megahertz with 512 MB of RAM. This phone comes with a fair 6,66 GB internal memory, which is quite good knowing that it also has a slot for an external memory card to store songs, photographs and videos and even some applications that allow being installed in the external memory.

This cellphone has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.39″. It appears that Motorola didn’t care much about the weight in this 5.47 ounces cellphone.

This phone includes a nice 4.3 inches screen with a 854 x 480 resolution, providing this device with a nice graphic quality. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This phone only features an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera. This phone can also shoot HD 1280×720 videos at 30 frames per second. The camera also features a couple of interesting characteristics like auto-focus, flash, digital image stabilization, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone features wi-fi capability (which it can provide to other devices acting as a wireless modem or router) or 3G internet connection, over EV-DO A technologies. The Motorola Droid X doesn’t use a sim card, because it doesn’t support GSM services and it can connect to CDMA networks.

This phone also features some interesting features like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS (Global Positioning System) and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your phone close to another NFC device or tag), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Motorola Droid X counts with a medium 1540 mAh Li-Ion battery providing the Motorola Droid X with a good battery life. According to Motorola, this cellphone has an approximate 8 hrs talk time and a 220 hrs stand by time.
