The Logitech G733 is lightweight and it comes in four different color options.

If you want a headset that comes with full gamer aesthetics, the Logitech G733 Lightspeed will definitely catch your attention. It’s a mostly plastic headset that features RGB LED strips at the front, a reversible and colorful/bright headband and some weird angles and curves to its overall design. It’s available in black, but there are other color options to choose from as well, including a white, blue and lilac version.

Due to being made up of mostly plastic, the G733 is lightweight, weighing only 278 grams. The clamping force on the headset is not too strong and the ear cups come with mesh fabric covered pads. All of these make the Logitech G733 suitable for long gaming sessions without causing discomfort and fatigue.

The mute button, volume wheel and on/off button, as well as the USB-C charging port can be found on the left earcup.

Sound Quality

The Logitech G733 offers very good sound quality.

Gaming Features

The Logitech G733 Lightspeed is a wireless gaming headset and the “Lightspeed” part in its name refers to Logitech’s wireless tech. With this wireless tech, you’ll have a better gaming experience as it should be as reliable as a wired connection without the cables. Also, it offer less latency and a connection range of up to 20 meters.

Setting up the headset is easy. For PC, you’ll need to download the Logitech G Hub software to enable its surround sound feature and access other settings. On Playstation consoles and the Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to use the Logitech wirelessly by plugging the USB dongle to a free USB port but you won’t get surround sound. The headset will only work on the Switch if it is docked.

As of this writing, the Logitech G733 does not work on Xbox consoles because wireless USB audio is not supported on Xbox.

The Logitech G Hub software grants you access to several settings that you can tweak to your preferences. You can customize the RGB lights on the headset and if you have other Logitech RGB hardware, you can easily sync their lighting patterns with Logitech’s Lightsync. Aside from controlling the RGB lights, you can also create EQ presets, fiddle with the Blue Vo!ce feature and more.

The battery life of the Logitech G733 is excellent. It is marketed as being capable of up to 29 hours of playtime with the lights on and that is accurate. With the lights off, the battery life is even more impressive.

Included in the box is a USB-C charging cable. To know when to charge the headset, Logitech included some audio and visual cues, and you can also check on the Logitech G Hub software. When the battery is below 10%, the headset will inform you by beeping every 15 minutes. When the battery is below 2%, in addition to the beeping sound, the RBG strip will also flash red to remind you of its remaining battery life.

It is able to maintain a strong wireless connection without any drops, sound quality is very good and it has an excellent battery life. Also, you can take full advantage of everything it has to offer with the G Hub software. The only downside to this headset is that it is not fully supported on gaming consoles. While it can still be used wirelessly, it loses its surround sound capability.
