Design

The Logitech G602 is ergonomically designed for right-handed users while the G900 has an ambidextrous design.

Looks-wise, they are very different from each other. The Logitech G602 is designed for right-handed users, while the Logitech G900 caters to both left and right-handed users by having an ambidextrous design. Left-handed users will not have a very good time with the Logitech G602 as is it ergonomically designed only for right-handed gamers. They both come in black, with the Logitech G602 having grey accents and the Logitech G900 having an indented middle portion with chrome accents.

Weighing at 3.77 ounces, the Logitech G602 is very light and comfortable. Likewise, the Logitech G900 is lightweight, weighing 3.84 ounces. The Logitech G602 is a bit bulkier, measuring at 5.47 x 3.27 x 1.73 inches, while the dimensions for the Logitech G900 is 5.12 x 2.64 x 1.57 inches. People with bigger hands will find the Logitech G602 to be more comfortable to use, while people with smaller hands will have a better experience with the Logitech G900 due to its slimmer build.

They both have multiple programmable buttons—11 to be exact. On the Logitech G602, all of the extra buttons are found on the left side, with two on the left of the left click button and the rest just above the thumb rest. In contrast, the Logitech G900 has a more symmetrical button placement, you’ll find two extra buttons on each side and two extra buttons for dpi switching just below the scroll wheel.

Both of these gaming mice are wireless, but they have different power sources. The Logitech G602 requires two AA batteries, while the Logitech G900 has a built-in battery.

Both mice come with multiple programmable buttons

As with every Logitech gaming mice, you’ll need to download Logitech’s gaming software in order to fully take advantage of all their features. As already mentioned, both gaming mice come with 11 programmable buttons. On the Logitech G602, you’ll get six additional buttons just above the thumb rest, two dpi shift buttons beside the left-click button and the left, right and middle click buttons.

On the Logitech G900, you’ll get a scroll wheel with a tilt wheel function, two dpi shift buttons below the scroll wheel, four buttons on the side (two on each side) and the left, right and middle click buttons. The four buttons on the side come with covers if you won’t be using them

All of these buttons are customizable in the Logitech G Hub software. Also, both gaming mice come with onboard memory, so you can save your settings directly on both mice. On the Logitech G602 onboard memory, you can save only one profile, while you can save up to five profiles on the Logitech G900.

Another feature that you can tweak inside the Logitech G Hub is the Logitech G900’s RGB settings. You can choose different colors for the Logitech G900 for aesthetics. Unfortunately, the Logitech G602 does not come with any RGB features.

Performance

The Logitech G900 is equipped with the PMW3366 sensor which allows it have a wider dpi range.

As far as gaming goes, the Logitech G900 has a wider dpi range of 200 – 12000 since it comes with the more advanced PMW3366 sensor. In contrast, the Logitech G602’s Delta Zero sensor only has a dpi range of 250 – 2500.

Since the Logitech G902 can be adjusted to reach lower and higher dpi, it offers better customizability when it comes to your sensitivity settings. You’ll be able to tweak your sensitivity to get the best possible result.

The buttons on both gaming mice are very responsive and they don’t feel squishy at all. They are very tactile and the clicks feel tight. Both of these mice have 11 programmable buttons but their placement is different. On the Logitech G602, the extra buttons above the thumb rest are a bit cramped, so you might not always press the right buttons when in a tense situation.

On the Logitech G900, the buttons are more spaced out, which is a bit better. However, since it has a symmetrical design, the two extra buttons opposite of the thumb can be a bit hard to reach if you are not used to using your pinky or ring finger. While both are wireless gaming mice, they differ when it comes to power source and battery life. The Logitech G602 requires 2 AA batteries and it can last up to 250 hours or 1440 hours. It has two modes—performance and endurance. In performance mode, the battery can last up to 250 hours. This is the mode to use when gaming. In endurance mode, the battery can last up to 1440 hours. Endurance mode allows the Logitech G602 to function like a standard wireless mouse, which allows it to conserve battery.

On the other hand, the Logitech G900 comes with a built-in battery and it can last up to 32 hours. You will be recharging the mouse frequently using the included cable since the battery life is short. You can always leave it plugged in if you don’t want to worry about running out of battery while in the middle of a game, but that defeats the purpose of having a wireless mouse.

The advanced sensor on the Logitech G900 allows it to perform better when gaming.

If you want the better performer when it comes to gaming, then the Logitech G900 is the right choice. Also, it has an ambidextrous design so it is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users. However, it does come with a short battery life so you’ll have to charge it frequently. If you’re not bothered by this, then you should definitely get it.

On the other hand, the Logitech G602 offers excellent battery life but it has the inferior sensor when it comes to dpi range. If 2500 dpi is more than enough for you, this is a good gaming mouse to buy. But if you think that 2500 is too low for your gaming style, then you should go with the G900.
