Without a doubt, the Logitech G29 and G920 are among the best gaming racing wheels money can buy for the PlayStation and Xbox One, respectively. For starters, they have high-quality build. They also boast a few solid features that can take the whole gaming experience to a whole other level.
At first glance, the two seem to be similar across the board, except for their compatibility. However, that’s not the whole story. There are a few key differences once you take a closer look.

Features
The G29 has more features than the G920.

Both of them feature hall-effect steering sensor, dual-motor force feedback, and overheat safeguard. However, the G29 has the advantage over the G920 because of its additional knob and adjustment buttons. It even has RPM LEDs to boot, which come in handy because they’ll tell you when you should shift up.
From there, everything else is pretty much the same. They have a 900-degree rotation, and their pedals are nonlinear and self-calibrating. You can expect more or less the same performance out of either one, too.
Compatibility
Both gaming steering wheels will work on the PC.

This is where the difference between them is really apparent. While both are compatible with Windows and macOS, the G29 is made for the PlayStation 3 and 4 and the G920 for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Design
Both have an excellent build quality.

The two have a hand-stitched leather cover for their steering wheel with spokes made out of anodized aluminum. On top of that, the shifter paddles and pedal faces have brushed stainless steel. The takeaway is they’re built with premium materials.
However, there are some distinctions on this front. The G29 sets itself apart with blue and red accents and a PlayStation logo in the middle of its wheel. Meanwhile, the G920 has a Logitech logo. It’s also less flashy, and because of that, it’s arguably a bit more tasteful.
Still, you can’t really declare a winner here since this boils down to preference. In other words, you might prefer the relatively more colorful G29 to the more streamlined G920.
Verdict
If you’re looking for a gaming racing wheel for the PC, the G29 is better than the G920.
Amazon productDeciding between the two depending on console compatibility is a no-brainer: the G29 is for the PlayStation platform and the G920 for the Xbox.
However, if you’re choosing one for the PC, the G29 is the better pick because of its extra features. In fact, if it were also compatible with the Xbox, then it would be the winner here hands down.
