Even though the Jabra Evolve 65 and Evolve 75 are a couple of years old already, they still pop up in lists of the best office headsets, and for good reason too. That’s because they have reliable connectivity and offer solid performance not only for calls but also for music.

The main differences between them are that the Evolve 75 has active noise cancellation or ANC and better sound and battery life, but all that comes at a price. Needless to say, the Evolve 65 is more affordable and on par on a few but important fronts with its newer, beefier brother.

The Jabra Evolve 65 weighs less than the Evolve 75, making it more comfortable to wear.

The Jabra Evolve 65 and Evolve 75 are designed to be worn for long periods. That’s evidenced by their comfy ear cushions and headband, but more importantly, they’re lightweight. That said, the Evolve 65 weighs only 111g, and its mono variant goes down even further with only 79g. Meanwhile, the Evolve 75 is 177g, which isn’t heavy at all, but it doesn’t really compare.

Both are wireless office headsets, so they’re easy to move around with. After all, you won’t have to deal with wires and all that. The two also have a lot of flex, and they’re made to survive bumps and other impacts from time to time. Speaking of, the Evolve 65 comes with a soft protective bag, but the Evolve 75 takes it up a notch with a hard case.

Sound and Connectivity

The Jabra Evolve 75 has better audio than the Evolve 65, and of the two, it’s the only one with ANC.

The Jabra Evolve 65 and Evolve 75 pack a lot of features. For starters, they have support for Jabra Direct, allowing you to keep their software up-to-date and tweak things like audio protection levels and music settings. They’re also compatible with Jabra Xpress for managing headsets in a workforce.

One nifty feature they have is what Jabra calls Busy Light. Basically, it’s an LED that glows when you’re on a call or if you simply don’t want to be disturbed. That way, your colleagues will know not to interrupt you. Both can also connect to two devices at a time, letting you switch seamlessly between, say, your smartphone and computer.

When it comes to battery life, the Evolve 75 comes out on top. It’s rated to last up to 17 hours for music or 18 hours for calls. In comparison, the Evolve 65 can only go up to 11 hours for music and 14 hours for calls.

Essentially, the Jabra Evolve 75 is an upgrade in many ways over the Evolve 65.

Across the board, the Jabra Evolve 75 beats the Evolve 65. For one thing, it has better audio quality and a longer battery life. It even features ANC and comes with a hard protective case as standard. Still, the Evolve 65 isn’t without its charm. It’s lighter, meaning it’s less fatiguing to wear, and it’s a lot cheaper to boot.

On that note, you can decide between them based on your budget and whether or not the additional features and improved performance of the Evolve 75 is worth spending about a hundred dollars more. Again, if money’s no object, we’d recommend the Evolve 75 hands down. But if you work in a relatively quiet environment, the Evolve 65 can go a long way without breaking the bank.
