HTC Desire 510 (Cricket) Review & Specs

HTC Desire 510 is a decent quality phone launched in August 2014, with a 4.7-inches display, a high speed 64 bit Quad-Core processing unit running at 1200 megahertz, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera. We will get a better understanding of this cellphone’s specs when we get into more details.

HTC made this phone in lots of color options, black, gray, blue and white. This phone doesn’t feel very lightweight comparing with today standards, weighting 5.57 oz. This device has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.39″.

This cellphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 system chip, packing an extremely powerful 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core 64-bits CPU and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit low comparing with its impressive CPU. Graphic rendering generally eats lots of processor time, so this device also also has an Adreno 306 GPU clocking at 450 megahertz to help the CPU with those tasks. A good point of this cellphone is its big 8 GB internal storage memory and a slot for external memory cards, allowing the user to install a couple hundred applications without worrying about space.

This phone has a interesting 854 x 480 4.7-inches display, which makes all images and movies look beautiful.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It is also able to capture Full HD 1920×1080 videos. The camera also counts with geo tagging.

This device uses an amazing 2100 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which is not really enough for a thirsty phone like this.

The HTC Desire 510 offers Wi-Fi connectivity (although it can’t share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks or fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA technologies. This cellphone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM services and it works with both CDMA and GSM carriers.

The HTC Desire 510 also includes many interesting features like Bluetooth (4.0), GPS Localization, NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your phone close to another NFC device or tag) and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
