Both the Graco 4Ever DLX and Britax One4Life ClickTight are convertible car seats with multiple modes. They both have rear-facing, forward-facing and high back booster modes, with the Graco 4Ever DLX having an additional backless booster mode. Both of these car seats can be used for a long time and because of this, they offer excellent value for the money.

In rear-facing mode, the Britax One4Life can accommodate children between 5 and 50 lbs. The Graco 4Ever DLX, on the other hand, can be used in rear-facing mode if the child is between 4 and 40 lbs. Once your child has outgrown the rear-facing mode, you can switch both car seats to a forward-facing orientation and the weight requirement is between 20 and 65 lbs. for the Britax One4Life and between 22 and 65 lbs. for the Graco 4Ever DLX.

While both car seats also have a high back booster mode, the Graco 4Ever DLX also has an additional backless booster mode that will fit bigger or taller children better. Because of this backless booster mode, the Graco 4Ever DLX can potentially last longer than the Britax One4Life ClickTight.

If your car does not have the requirements for a LATCH installation or if you are going to use the booster mode, both car seats can be installed easily using standard seat belts.

Verdict

If you want your child to stay in a rear-facing position longer, go with the Britax One4Life. However, if you want a car seat that has a backless booster mode, you should go with the Graco 4Ever DLX.

Since the Britax One4Life ClickTight car seat has a higher weight limit when it comes to its rear-facing mode, you can keep your child in that position for a longer period. The rear-facing position is the safest, so being able to keep your child in that position ensures that your child is safe and you’ll also have peace of mind knowing that. For that reason alone, we recommend the Britax One4Life over the Graco 4Ever DLX.

That said, the Graco 4Ever DLX is still a great car seat and you shouldn’t write it off just yet. It comes with an additional backless booster mode that you won’t find on the Britax One4Life. If you want a car seat that can accommodate larger children, the Graco 4Ever DLX is the better option.
