However, since it has a vertical seat, you can’t really do exercises that require you to lay on your back, such as bench press.

Also like most of the other Bowflex home gyms, you can increase the resistance from 210lbs to 310lbs or 410lbs. For those that are aiming for just general fitness, 210lbs is more than enough. However, for those that want to focus more on strength and hypertrophy training, upgrading to 410lbs is necessary.
When it comes to build quality, the Bowflex Xceed has a heavy duty steel frame that will certainly last a long time. The seat is well padded and the pulley positions are versatile enough and easy to use when transitioning from one workout to another. Similar to other Bowflex home gyms, the Bowflex Blaze allows you to do 60+ exercises with just one machine. You can actually do more if you are creative enough and you know what you’re doing. But for safety, you should always stick with tried and tested workout routines that the machine is designed for.
Since it has a horizontal bench, it is more flexible than other Bowflex machines that have upright seats. You can do various exercises such as bench presses, seated rows and more. It has a resistance of 210lbs, but you can upgrade it to 310lbs or 410lbs, just like the other Bowflex home gyms.
As for build quality, the Blaze is made with thick and heavy duty metal. It is quite sturdy and there shouldn’t be any issues regarding durability. It takes up an area of 100 inches x 78 inches when in use and since it can be folded, it will take up less space when you’re not using it. These exercises are important and they should be a part of your total body workout routine for a well-rounded physique. You can’t do most of these exercises with the Bowflex Xceed, thus, we recommend the Bowflex Blaze over it.
