The Bose Soundbar 700 has physical controls but the SoundTouch 300 is wall mountable.


Both the Bose Soundbar 700 and SoundTouch 300 sport a tempered glass top, a mesh front and LED indicators on the top. Despite their premium look, theyβre prone to gathering dust though this is easily resolved with the microfiber cloth that comes in the box. These devices are also sizeable; measuring 38.5 inches wide, 2.25 inches high and 4.25 inches deep.
Sadly, the Bose SoundTouch 300 lacks physical controls on the unit, be it power or volume buttons. Itβs only available in black too. The Soundbar 700 has two touch-sensitive buttons on top, with one as an action button and the other for muting the microphone. Plus, the Soundbar comes in black or white. Only the SoundTouch is wall-mountable though.
Connectivity
The Bose Soundbar 700 has an optical input and USB input CEC but the SoundTouch 300 also has HDMI pass-through.

The Bose SoundTouch 300 and Soundbar 700 have an optical input, USB input CEC and a port for the ADAPTiQ headset. Support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is available for connecting to Spotify and other services. Thereβs a 3.5mm out for connecting a subwoofer but not a 3.5mm in for separate headphones, however.

For the Bose SoundTouch 300, the remote is required to use certain functions. Unfortunately, itβs not possible to use the app instead of the remote for controlling your soundbar. This means itβs necessary to purchase a new remote if the bundled one is lost. Meanwhile, the Soundbar 700 allows you to sync and use your gadgets through the app.
Performance
The Bose SoundTouch 300 delivers crisp and deep sound while the Soundbar 700 loud, low and more spacious audio.

Bose never lists driver specifications on their website or in their promotional materials. According to agency reviews, the Bose Soundbar 700 and SoundTouch 300 have the same frequency range of 2.4 Hz. Neither of them has DTS X and Dolby Atmos though. Still, the SoundTouch provides a crisp and deep audio and the Soundbar delivers low yet more spacious sound.
Movies and music through the Bose SoundTouch 300 and Soundbar 700 are immersive. Dialogues are clear in the midst of action scenes and vocals are distinguishable from instruments. There is no distortion at loud volumes either. However, itβs recommended to buy the optional subwoofer if you want an extensive boost in bass.
