Asus Padfone 2 is a mid-level Android phone launched back in the year 2012, coming with a great performance Quad-Core CPU speeding at 1.5 gigahertz, a 4.7 inches screen, a 13 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front-facing camera.
Asus decided to build this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 system chip, including a fast 1500 MHz Quad-Core processor and a large 2 GB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering usually eats a lot of processor cycles, so this phone counts with an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit running at 400 MHz to help with that calculations. A key aspect of this cellphone is its big 32 GB internal memory and though it doesn't include an SD memory card expansion slot, it is still enough to store hundreds of apps without even thinking about running out of space.
Asus made the Asus Padfone 2 in two different colors: black and white. This phone only has 5.43 inches long and 2.71" wide, but it still manages to hold a 4.7 inches screen. Being just 0.35 inches thick, this phone is extremely thin and practical. This phone is much lighter than what one would expect from a phone like this.
Asus designed this cellphone with a high-tech 4.7" display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes it impossible to even see the pixels in the display. Its display uses Super IPS+ LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This phone provides wifi connection (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless modem or router), LTE (4G) high speed data connection or fast 3G connection type, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card to use GSM services.
This cellphone features two cameras, a 13 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.2 megapixels front facing camera. This cellphone can also capture Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps, and slow motion videos in 1280x720 (HD) up to 60 frames per second. In addition, this device's camera also has a few good characteristics like auto-focus, flash, geo tagging and fast burst mode.
The Asus Padfone 2 comes with a big capacity 2140 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this phone running for many hours, although you may need to charge it if you use it too much.
This phone also includes some interesting features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS Localization and NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This device is quite cheap considering it costs just 249 dollars, while other similar phones cost a few extra dollars. No matter if you are looking for a work phone, want it to take lots of photographs, are looking for a social device or are looking for a gamer phone, this phone is probably the right one for you.
