Apple iPhone 4 is a fair quality iOS device launched in January 2011, which features a medium sized 3.5 inches display, a powerful 1000 megahertz processor, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. That's all? No, it's only the tip of the iceberg.
Apple didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.83 oz device, far heavier than other similar devices. The iPhone 4 is thin and stilized, being just 0.37 inches thick. This cellphone construction is a combination of Glass and Aluminium, which gives it a quality finish and an extra resistance. Apple offers the Apple iPhone 4 in two different color options: black and white.
This cellphone includes a great 3.5" screen with a 960 x 640 resolution, giving this cellphone a great graphic quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
Apple decided to power this device with a good processing unit speeding at 1000 megahertz, bundled in an Apple A4 chip and 512 MB RAM. The iPhone 4 comes with a 16 GB quite large internal storage and whereas it doesn't count with an SD card slot, it is enough to install a couple hundred games and applications, although it might not be enough if you are fan of the largest games available nowadays or taking tons of photos and videos.
This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. Its back side camera lens has a maximum 2.8 aperture so it's quite hard to take sharp photographs in poorly lit environments. This phone also films videos up to 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. This camera also includes some useful characteristics like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.
This phone offers wifi capability (which it can provide to other devices acting as a wireless router or modem) or 3G connectivity, supported by EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a SIM card, because it is not a GSM enabled phone and it works with CDMA networks.
The iPhone 4 packs a 1420 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, and whereas it may look a bit small, this cellphone has a great battery life. According to Apple, this phone has a reported talk time of 7 hours and a stand by time of 300 hours. A big issue to evaluate is that the iPhone 4's battery is non-removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to get older, making it necessary to change the whole device.
This cellphone also includes some interesting features like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS Navigation and NFC (Near Field Communication), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This phone costs about 289 dollars, quite a high price for this type of cellphone.
